Cozy and wonderful place in quiet location
Really a Wonderland Very welcoming and warm hosts, always ready to help and advise, accommodate any need if it's within their power. Initially, we didn't like the room we were allocated, so we asked to change and were able to move to a different room the next day. We stayed for 7 nights and had a few "family" dinners and lunches. The facilities are new, clean and well maintained. I think the house was finished in 2018 and built for the hosts' family (not as a B&B), so everything is quite well-thought. The area is quite quiet and feels safe. We saw a few guests who were returning here for a few years in a row. We'll do the same if we're back in Georgia. The Champion restaurant (with bakery) is just 5 minutes away by walk and serves a good selection of tasty dishes, very inexpensive compared to Batumi prices. It gets pretty busy in the evenings, but we were always able to get a table. Local shops and market stalls are 15-minute-walk away in the centre of Chakvi. Minibuses and buses to Batumi and Kobuleti / Ureki are pretty frequent, bus stop 2 minutes away from the house. We rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes. Yandex Maps are quite reliable for routes. The beach is 5 minutes away and was pretty empty in this area of Chakvi, though after rains water might seem a bit dirty with bits of algae and smth else organic, but we didn't see much man-made rubbish in the water here.
Not really "didn't like", just circumstances to be aware of. During our stay there were a few rainy-stormy days and the terrace on the top was dismantled and closed for the majority of the days, so that soft cushions don't get wet. But we could just take those cushions and put them back on the terrace when the sun was out. As there's a shared kitchen, some guests might be a bit inconsiderate to others leaving their food leftovers or dishes unwashed. The kitchen itself is cleaned every couple of days or more frequently by the cleaning staff. Sometimes it might feel a bit crowded, but at the same time you might be invited to join for dinner
